How TubePresenter handles settings, playlist data, and access to YouTube pages.

Last updated: July 10, 2026

Overview

TubePresenter is designed to organize and control YouTube playlists and playback. The extension does not sell personal data and does not display advertisements.

Information stored locally

TubePresenter may store playlist items, video links and visible titles, playlist order, interface language, display choice, and playback preferences in Chrome's local extension storage. This information is used to provide the features requested by the user.

YouTube page access

TubePresenter interacts only with youtube.com pages covered by the extension permissions. This access is used to read the current public video URL and visible metadata, show optional Add to playlist controls, detect supported live content, and execute user-requested playback actions.

Data sharing and advertising

TubePresenter does not sell user data, does not use personal information for advertising, and does not operate third-party advertising trackers. The project does not maintain a server-side database of user playlists.

Security and remote code

The core extension code is included in the extension package. TubePresenter does not rely on remotely hosted JavaScript or WebAssembly for its core functionality.

User control

Users can remove playlist items, clear saved playlists, change settings, or uninstall the extension. Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored extension data according to Chrome's behavior.

Limited Use commitment

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
